VONORE, Tenn. — MasterCraft president and CEO, John
Dorton, has been elected to the National Marine
Manufacturers Association Executive Committee and was
also appointed chairman of NMMA’s Boat Manufacturers
Division, the company said this week.
“It is always an honor to be recognized by the industry
and my peers in this way,” Dorton said. “But more
importantly, I look forward to taking my years of
advocacy and passion for this industry and working with
the NMMA to help its members achieve financial success,
especially as we move through and the eventual exit out
of this economic downturn.”

collectively these members help drive and support both
the value and strategic direction of the NMMA.
“MasterCraft congratulates John on this appointment,”
said company spokesperson, Jason Boertje. “It is always
a testament to the both the company and its management
when these selections are made. And it is no different
in this case – John’s recent selection to these
leadership roles further substantiates both John’s
ability and MasterCraft’s role as an industry leader.”
