WASHINGTON, N.C. – Anthony A. Sarandes notified Fountain Powerboat Industries Inc. of his resignation from its Board of Directors for personal business reasons on Oct. 27, effective immediately, the company reported in a recently filed SEC document.

As a result of Sarandes' resignation, the boat builder has reduced the number of members of its Board of Directors to six and withdrawn Sarandes from nomination for reelection as a director at its upcoming annual meeting to be held on Nov. 18.
Its remaining six incumbent directors continue as nominees for reelection at the annual meeting to fill the six seats on Fountain’s Board of Directors, the company stated.
